Yoga/Mindfulness

A growing body of scientific research shows that mindfulness has positive effects on mental health and well-being. Practising mindfulness has been proven to help children learn to focus, manage stress, regulate emotions, feel compassion and empathy and develop a positive outlook. 

Mindfulness is part of the SPHE programme in St. Mogues NS and this is the second year that we have run this course for all children in the school. We would like to thank our instructor Ann Reilly for her encouragement and enthusiasm.  The children benefited greatly from the sessions and learned useful techniques to carry forward with them.
